Jessica is pursing her Bachelors of Law at the UWI and even though with the heavy course load is competing in the 2008 Island Fitness Pageant, she is no stranger to competing as she swam both nationally and internationally in 2000, 2001 and 2003 and therefore knew the need to improve her level of fitness- so started training in January for the competition to ensure that her endurance, flexibility, cardiovascular and muscular strength was in peak condition.
Jessica thinks that a role model should be honest, trustworthy and humble and considers her relationship with her family and friends as her most prized possession - as they are all very supportive and encouraging to her during her preparation for the IFP competition.
