Melodie known to her friends as Mel is sponsored by Lucozade Sport. Melodie is 30 years old and stands 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 110 pounds. She is a Naturopathic Doctor by profession and obtained her Postgraduate Degree in Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Canada, she also holds a first class honors degree in biology from the university of the West Indies.
Melodie wanted to accomplish her goal of being as fit as she can be - so started training in early may, she saw entering the competition as an amazing showcase of beauty and talent while giving "strong" women the opportunity to express themselves.
The challenges she encountered while preparing for the pageant were getting pass the pain she had to endure and put her body through with her training regime along with sacrificing her personal time.
Melodie grew up doing ballet and jazz and currently does yoga as a daily practice and would like to become a certified yoga teacher. Melodie also loves to sing and would like in the future to sing in a band.
Her most prized possession is her compassionate nature, which allows her to identify with people she wants to help; she thinks that a role model should possess honesty, high moral standards, dependability and wisdom.
Melodie's family is very supportive in every decision she makes - she was raised to believe in herself and her abilities.
